Adobe Fuse Custom Clothing in Photoshop: A Disappointing Experience

As a long-time user of Adobe Fuse CC, I was excited to explore its new features and capabilities. However, my enthusiasm was short-lived as I quickly discovered that most of the hair and clothing content available in the program is simply copied from earlier versions.

To make matters worse, Adobe has abandoned support for Source Filmmaker and Garry's Mod download formats, which means that users who have created characters using these formats cannot import them into Fuse CC. This lack of compatibility is a major drawback, especially considering that there are no plans to fix this issue in the future.

Despite these limitations, Adobe Fuse CC does offer some improvements over Steam's Fuse 1.3. For instance, the hair clipping fix and manual mesh manipulation features are welcome additions. Additionally, users can now export textures, which is a useful feature.

However, I have to disagree with those who claim that Adobe Fuse CC is an 'awesome' program. In my opinion, it falls short in several areas, particularly when compared to other character creation software like MakeHuman.

One of the main reasons I prefer Adobe Fuse CC over MakeHuman is its greater versatility. While MakeHuman only allows for export options to Blender and 3DS Max, Adobe Fuse CC offers direct export options to a range of programs, including Garry's Mod, Source Filmmaker, Daz, Unity, and more.

Another area where Adobe Fuse CC excels is in its clothing options. Unlike MakeHuman, which has limited clothing choices, Adobe Fuse CC offers a wide range of custom clothing options that can be tailored to suit individual preferences.

In conclusion, while Adobe Fuse CC may not be perfect, it remains a powerful tool for character creation and customization. Its ability to export textures and offer a range of clothing options make it a more versatile program than MakeHuman.
